New House = Ikea & Painting
I am BEYOND excited for the house I’ll be living in next year. It’s a five bedroom house and we’ll have six people. FINALLY, everyone in the house will be someone I actually like and feel comfortable around. One of my current roommates and I hate the fact that we can’t even watch TV in the living room without annoying our third roommate. Ugh.
Anyway, I get to get all new FURNITURE! My mom wants to keep the bedroom set I have back in tdub, which is completely fine by me. I was back home this weekend for the Dave Matthew’s Band concert, and we also took a trip down to Ikea.
I decided on the Hemnes bed (except in queen, not twin):

AHHHHHHHH I can’t wait! Eventually I’ll add a bedside table, but to save some money for now I’m going to stick with the black LACK table I already have.
I get to move in June 1st, so that means I get to PAINT! I think I’m gonna go with yellow. Probably a softer yellow, as I feel too hectic if my room is too bright. Which sucks because I love bright colors, but oh well.
We’re painting our laundry room a REALLLLLY bright blue though, it’s amazing! It’s gonna looks so great with a white wire shelf holding all the brightly colored detergent bottles. Wow, I can’t believe I’m actually excited over that… sad. Sad sad sad.
I can’t wait to start decorating. Alicia (current roommate) and I are going to go all out on the house… we’re gonna buy cheap furniture and fix it up. YAY!
